Abstract

Across the world, no matter where we go, mental health issues are a common concern that is often overlooked. It is a very serious problem that is affecting millions of people and their families. Although there has been increasing awareness, most people still suffer in silence due to stigma, lack of support, and existing systemic barriers. In this article, we look at how these conditions are affecting the world by demographics and type and the consequences of untreated mental health conditions. By reviewing existing research and statistics about mental health issues, this study reveals the fact that mental health issues do exist in silence. It requires much attention from people around us, more access to support services, and community-based initiatives to improve their wellbeing.
